Starting off the year with plans to regularly write at least something seemed like a great idea, especially since I had the time planned out – Monday evenings. I’d either write at home while the wife & girls were at Girl Scouts, or I’d take the laptop if it was my turn and write there. Well, this week is week two of being back at ETSU, I slept badly on Sunday and then realized I was already behind on school work, so that put paid to Monday. Hence, I’m writing today. I’m going to try to keep to a weekly schedule, but life happens so that won’t always work.
Tonight I wanted to close out Chapter Two. I’ve made the points I needed to get to and I’m in a good place to start Chapter Three which, per my plot plan, is pretty quiescent. Today’s work deals with the expense of the sprained ankle changing the plans to raise the pay of the staff. I’ve tried to write it to set up for future threads, but I’m feeling a bit paranoid about my continuity. I’ll deal with that when the whole thing is done, though, as working through the story every couple of chapters would become a bit of a slog.
I don’t know if anyone’s even reading the story, but the later you get here, the more there will be to read and – hopefully – enjoy.
