A Busy Easter

Easter BunniesIt has been a busy weekend that spilled over into a busy Monday also.

Spending time with the family on Easter Sunday meant taking everything we normally do on a Sunday and cramming it into Saturday with everything we normally do there as well. The end result, however, was a relaxed day with an Easter Egg hunt, barbecue and playing with the youngest rabbits we have.

So nothing got written across the weekend. There was always Monday, right?

Well, Monday involved beating the truck into starting and spending the morning getting a bunch of mulch, the afternoon was then spent reading for school (yuck!) and the evening spent fretting that two of our passports are out of date ahead of an upcoming family vacation.

So nothing got written yesterday either. Not even the regular Monday blog post.

could console myself that last week I finished Chapters Eight and Nine, and I have a fair idea how to approach Chapter Ten – possibly the toughest to write of the book. But it doesn’t help.

So here I am, waiting for my History class to start in just a few minutes, catching up with the blog. Hopefully I’ll get back to writing properly tonight, since at the moment I’m not in a bad position with any of my school readings, but my goal of being done with this chapter by the end of the week is looking slightly suspect.

I still hope to get the first rough draft of the book finished before going on vacation, which gives me seven weeks, but it’s not like it’s my only commitment over that period.

Good luck to anyone else out there who’s bitten off more than they can chew! You are not alone!
