Construction Work.

Now that I’ve taken my History final this morning, you’d think my summer would be completely free. No so. I have a construction job that needs to be completed within the next three weeks, which will keep me busy.

Mean time, this afternoon’s delivery took place this morning, while I was out, so I’m going to have to manually move all the supplies down to the job site.

Writing.

Meanwhile I’m only two chapters short of finishing The Old Man, so very soon I’ll be putting the manuscript away somewhere dark for a few weeks to marinade.

In the meantime, I’m looking for dystopian fiction with the same kind of atmosphere I’m looking for, namely a sense that everything has gone wrong and that nothing is going to fix it, especially for the protagonist(s).

I’ll be down the local second hand book shop next week looking for something there.

Anybody have any recommendations?
