Closing Out The Year.

One Final Excuse.

You might have noticed that my last post was two weeks ago. It’s proving to be an incredibly busy time for me, the dear wife is covering practically every available shift, to the extent that she’s currently in the middle of thirteen-days-straight, frequently working from 8am till gone 11pm. I did a similar stint ten years ago in the summer of 2009 for three months, in the middle of a field for the US Army.

The way things are right now, it’d be disingenuous to suggest that I could meet the goal of a last blog post for this year.

2020 Vision.

It’s disappointing that I haven’t been able to get The Old Man into shape for a Beta Reader process, but I fully intend on having my first novel in print by the end of 2020 and the second one through the first draft.

That’s part of my 2020 reset. Somewhere in all this chaos I need to find ways to organize my time to make better use of it.

I’ll cover all of those plans in my next post, probably around the 13th of January when I hope to post a New Year’s plan, my vision of how I want 2020 to turn out.

Right now, I’m going to be a damp squib. It’s currently 3 pm on Sunday afternoon – the dear wife has just surprised us by coming home early! – and the rest of my day is going to be spent cutting wood, starting a fire, watching a Christmas movie with the kids, having dinner and closing out the day with America’s Funniest Home Videos.

So, until my next post, merry Christmas, happy New Year, and rest assured, any free time I get will be spent working on one project or the other.

Stay safe!
