What Is This Site?
I’ve always enjoyed writing and now I thought I’d use what I can muster to work on some writing project ideas. The idea behind The Old Man had been with me for some time, inspired in no small way by the documentary by Dr. Pamela Cox, Servants: A life below stairs, and then there’s the idea I’ve called The Black Box Factory, which is being broken into two parts, Lock Out Tag Out, and the Black Box Factory itself – currently awaiting everything else.
I have some other sections that I haven’t gotten to work on, these being my idea for The Children of Mars, a story about a Mars colony, Élite: Dangerous, a collection of fan fiction that I’ll get around to writing one fine day, and Lucky Dip, which is where everything else will go, as soon as there is an everything else.
This site, then, is personal accountability blog. Blogging on a regular basis forces me to have something to write about, so I’m more likely to get some work done.
What Am I Working On?
For the most up to date information, see the “Current Project Progress” panel to the top right. I keep that updated at least as frequently as I post to this site and it’s easy for me to forget there’s an About page to be kept up as well.
At time of writing, I’ve completed The Old Man up to a fourth self-edit, and I’m getting ready to start work on Lock Out Tag Out, which is on this site under Black Box Factory, but that’s going to change soon. In fact, I suspect it will change long before I update this page to reflect that.
