What Else Have I Been Up To?

One of my personal failings is that I gripe too much.

One of the most common things I gripe about is not having enough time to get everything done. You’ll notice that here, if you follow the blog posts at all.

One of the reasons that I don’t write anywhere near as often as I would like is that I’m blessed (or cursed, it’s all a matter of perspective) with a life that I’m trying to live, which means there are countless obligations that I need to meet.

Everything is a higher priority than everything else and is certainly more important than whatever I happen to be doing.

Andrew Wellington, practically every day.

So, here I’ll be showcasing some of the time vampires that prevent me from doing what I want to do, which, for the sake of this web site, is to write my stories.

The Pantry.

A little more than four weeks got dedicated to turning a wire-frame-shelved chaos into a functioning pantry. This was immediately following the time I left The Old Man manuscript alone to marinate before getting back into the edit cycle.

The Chickshaw.

It’s hard to say exactly how much time got spent on the Chickshaw, at least in part because I kept running out of hardware, and running out to get it. It kept me busy while waiting for Alpha reader feedback and the chicks that have gone into it should continue to ensure I don’t get bored while I wait.
